When you create QR codes, we collect QR code metadata including names, target URLs, styling preferences, and organization structure. When someone scans your QR codes, we automatically collect scan analytics data including IP addresses, device types (mobile/desktop/tablet), user agents, geographic location (country, region, city), timestamps, and referrer information to provide you with comprehensive analytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to: Provide, operate, and maintain our website and QR code services Generate and manage your QR codes with custom styling and landing pages Track QR code scans and provide detailed analytics dashboards Improve, personalize, and expand our website Understand and analyze how you use our website Develop new products, services, features, and functionality Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer support, to provide you with updates and other information related to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes Send you emails Find and prevent fraud and abuse of our services. We do not share, transfer, sell, or disclose your QR code data, scan analytics, or user data to any third parties. Google Workspace APIs are not used to develop, improve, or train generalized/non-personalized AI and/or ML models. No Google user data is transferred to any AI tools or generalized/non-personalized AI/ML models. Scan event data is stored in secure cloud databases with automatic deletion after time period depending on plan. QR code generation and analytics processing are performed using secure cloud infrastructure. CrabQR™ follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data which include encrypting data at rest, using secure authentication, implementing API authorization, and safe logging procedures. We retain your QR code data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. Scan event data is automatically deleted after so many days. At your request your data can be deleted or anonymized.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, CrabQR™ uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, authentication tokens, session management, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information. Advertising Partners Privacy Policies

You may consult this list to find the Privacy Policy for each of the advertising partners of CrabQR™. Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected, including QR code data, scan analytics, and account information. Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data (CrabQR™ does not sell personal data to any third parties). GDPR Data Protection Rights

We want to ensure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following: The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data, including your QR code data, scan analytics, and account information. You also have the right to request that we complete the information you believe is incomplete. The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions. This includes deletion of your QR codes, scan events, and account. The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. Children's Information

Protecting children while using the internet is another part of our priority. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. CrabQR™ does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13.
